New predictions are that we are in the heart of the storm. Snow accumulations now could be as much as 30 to 36 inches with snow drifts in excess of 6 feet. Please stay off the roads!

While the predictions for snow accumulation remain uncertain, the Mayor and Township Committee urge all Harding residents to prepare for the approaching storm and stay informer . The potential exists
for 12" of snow, high winds on Saturday, downed trees and power outages. The Harding Township Office of Emergency Management is closely monitoring Winter Storm Jonas.

Additionally, residents are reminded that there are motor vehicle statutes that require all snow and ice to be cleared from a vehicle before driving on the roadway. This is to avoid flying ice and snow, which can potentially cause visibility problems for other drivers.
SNOW SHOULD NOT BE PLOWED, SHOVELED OR THROWN IN THE ROADWAY FROM DRIVEWAYS. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR PLOWING CONTRACTOR PILES THE SNOW ON THE SIDE OF THE DRIVEWAY, AND DOES NOT PUSH IT INTO OR ACROSS THE ROADWAY.
