April 4, 11 am -- Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) is in the process of restoring the remaining 3,000 customers who lost power as a result of Sunday’s severe wind storm. JCP&L has moved resources from other areas of the company into the hardest hit areas. Restoration efforts are also being supported by line crews from FirstEnergy’s Potomac Edison subsidiary, contractors and additional hazard responders from IBEW Local 102.
Restoration to all customers from Sunday’s storm is expected to be completed by midnight.
JCP&L has also instituted its water and ice program for customers remaining out of service. Water and ice are available at more than 60 stores across JCP&L’s service area. The full list of water and ice locations is available at www.firstenergycorp.com/storminfo.

April 3rd, 7 pm -- JCP&L has restored service to more than 77,000 customers who lost power as a result of today's severe wind storm. Service to the remaining 13,800 customers is expected to be restored by midnight on Monday.
The extreme wind gusts experienced today resulted in hundreds of locations with downed trees, limbs or branches, and hampered utility crews' efforts to restore customers.

JCP&L is reporting approximately 1,455 customers out of the Ridge substation circuit are out of power. A crew is on scene making repairs.
12:04 pm -- All customers out of the Ridge substation circuit have been restored.
11 am -- Scattered power outages reported throughout Harding, all appear to be pending investigation and awaiting dispatch of crews.
DPW is in the process of clearing off roads of downed trees.
