9/22/2016 - WATER MAIN BREAK ON ANTHONY WAYNE ROAD

Southeast Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority (SMCMUA) and Harding Township Police advised a water main break occurred on Anthony Wayne Road last night, September 21, 2016.  As a result, 29 customers on Anthony Wayne Road, Stark Road and St. Claire Road are without water.  SMCMUA is working to repair the break as soon as possible.  The time to complete the repair is currently unknown, a time estimate will be provided as soon as SMCMUA has more complete information.

SMCMUA and its contractor, Montana Construction, have repaired the break and are currently recharging the system.  The Boil Water Advisory Notice, CLICK HERE is being hand delivered to the 29 affected residents. 

A Clear Alternative has placed a bulk water drinking water filling station in the affected area.

The first set of water samples will be collected at approximately 3:30 PM to be analyzed. Depending on the findings, additional water supply measures may be required.   

The next update should be available at approximately 6:00 PM tomorrow, September 23.
