Harding Township to Hold Public Hearing on Morris County Historic Preservation Program Restrictions on Glen Alpin Estate

TOWNSHIP OF HARDING, NJ - On Monday evening, April 19, 2021 at 7:30 PM, a public hearing will be held during a special meeting of the Township Committee related to the Glen Alpin Estate, located at 685 Mount Kemble Avenue, Harding Township (Block 34, Lot 1).

While the Township conducted five public hearings on January 28, 2021 related to the Glen Alpin Estate, an additional hearing is required pursuant the rules of the Morris County Open Space, Farmland, Floodplain Protection and Historic Preservation Trust Fund.

Pursuant to Morris County Open Space, Farmland, Floodplain Protection and Historic Preservation Trust Fund rules, particularly Chapter 5.17, a hearing for the benefit of the Morris County Historic Preservation Trust Fund Review Board to obtain public comment on the request to terminate the County’s easement rights to the disposal and diversion areas as identified in Deed Book 6186, Page 71, as well as the following Grant Agreements:

2005 Grant Agreement for Roof Replacement

2006 Grant Agreement for Utility Improvements

2007 Grant Agreement for Architectural Services

2007 Grant Agreement for HVAC System, repairs, improvements and associated professional services.

These rights will be replaced by a permanent historic preservation restriction held by the New Jersey Historic Trust.
