Harding Centennial Celebration Information
In 2022, Harding will celebrate its centennial year,
marking 100 years since our forefathers separated from Passaic Township
and formed a new community, naming it after the then-President of the
United States, Warren G. Harding.
The year-long recognition and celebration of a such a
milestone will involve all of Harding’s residents, clubs, groups and
organizations. Planning, organizing, managing and coordinating the
celebration is underway, but we can always use additional volunteers to
Committeewoman Rita Chipperson has been appointed as the
Centennial chair, and Dr. Nicole Lacz and Tracey Walters have graciously
volunteered to co-chair the Centennial Committee with Ms. Chipperson.
They will be officially appointed at the March 8th Township Committee
meeting. The chairs are in the process of finalizing a calendar of
events and building out the sub-committees and volunteers to chair and
coordinate each of these events.
Also, Harding’s Centennial Slogan and Logo Design Contest is now live, and entries will be accepted until April 30, 2021 at 12:00 PM EST.
